Fantastic opportunity to join a warm, experienced host family offering an Au Pair role in tropical Central Queensland. This welcoming family has hosted Au Pairs before and is currently hosting an Au Pair who has loved her placement, making this a well-supported and rewarding opportunity.
Rockhampton offers a relaxed lifestyle with easy access to beaches, coastal towns, and Queensland travel adventures. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Au Pair who wants strong family connection, independence, and plenty of time to explore Australia.
You’ll be caring for two gorgeous girls aged 6 years and 2.5 years. The family splits their time between Rockhampton and a regional town during the work week, returning home on weekends. Support is mainly needed mornings and afternoons while the children attend school and daycare. The role runs Monday to Thursday or Friday across a five-week working cycle, followed by every 6th week completely free - perfect for travel and exploring Australia. Every weekend is also free, with regular long weekends included.
This is a calm, organised household seeking an Au Pair who is kind, fun, fair, responsible, and genuinely enjoys forming a close bond with children. Duties include assisting with morning routines, afternoon care, age-appropriate play, and general support of the children’s daily schedules. Additional babysitting opportunities may be available outside standard hours and are paid separately.
The family live in a renovated five-bedroom home in Rockhampton with a pool and large backyard. Accommodation is extremely comfortable, with the Au Pair enjoying a private space that includes a queen-sized bed, large built-in wardrobe, private bathroom, dining area, couch, TV, and separate access to the house. The family’s living area is upstairs, allowing for privacy and independence.
