AU PAIR – STRATHNAIRN, CANBERRA (ACT)
STARTING MID-JANUARY 2026 – 6 MONTH PLACEMENT
A meaningful opportunity to join a thoughtful, welcoming family living in Strathnairn, a growing and family-friendly suburb of Canberra. This placement would suit an experienced, patient, and nurturing Au Pair who enjoys working closely with young children and supporting their development.
You’ll be working approximately 30 hours per week (around 6–7 hours per day), primarily assisting with morning and afternoon routines, playtime, outings to parks, reading, feeding, and accompanying Mum to activities such as swimming and gymnastics. Light household tasks related to the child and daily life will also be part of the role.
The family live in a modern four-bedroom home with excellent facilities, including a home gym and alfresco space. You’ll have a private guest bedroom with access to a bathroom, and a car is available for personal use. While driving is not essential, it would be considered a bonus.
Strathnairn is a vibrant new suburb with a strong community feel, regular weekend activities, and easy access to Belconnen and Canberra City. Public transport options are available nearby, and local shops, gyms, and amenities are within easy reach.

This role would suit someone calm, reliable, and emotionally intuitive, who values open communication and enjoys becoming part of a close-knit household. Experience with speech delay, sensory needs, or early childhood development would be highly regarded.
Au Pair experiences are open to international travellers on a suitable visa.
We do not charge Au Pairs for organising families.
We provide ongoing support and connect you with local Au Pairs.
