Cook/chef

The Dalwallinu Hotel is seeking an experienced and reliable Cook/Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This position offers 35–40 hours per week and is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and takes pride in delivering high-quality meals.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of meals to a high standard

Assist with menu preparation and daily specials

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times

Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering when required

Work efficiently during busy service periods

Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a cook or chef in a commercial kitchen

Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Good time management and organisational skills

Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
