Position Details
Title: Livestock Farmhand | Piggery Attendant
Location: Pinkerton Plains, South Australia
Hours: Monday to Friday – 7am to 3:26pm
Roster: Working every 3rd weekend (7am to 3:26pm Saturday & Sunday)
Reporting to: Farm Manager
Opportunity
We are seeking a Piggery Attendant to join our farming operations in Pinkerton Plains, South Australia.
This hands-on role supports the daily care and management of pigs across the farm, helping to ensure high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and farm productivity. The role is suited to someone with some experience working with livestock or within farming environments, or someone looking to further develop their skills in livestock production.
Working as a part of a small farm team, you’ll assist with feeding, monitoring pig health, maintaining clean facilities and supporting breeding and production activities across the site.
About you
You’re reliable, practical and comfortable working in a hands-on farming environment. You may already have some experience with livestock or farming or be looking to build your skills in agriculture.
You will bring:
• Some livestock or farming experience (desirable but not essential)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Physical fitness for hands-on farm work
• Commitment to animal welfare and biosecurity standards
• Current drivers licence
