We are looking for a Cook/Chef to join our friendly team . Working with one other Chef, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking food.
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen, abiding by all Workplace Health, Safety & Hygiene regulations at all times.
• Maintaining food quality and presentation under pressure.
• Serving meals to customers when required.
• Keeping abreast of food trends and seasonal produce available.
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
• Ensuring all grooming standards are met in relation to personal grooming and uniform presentation.
• Promptly reporting maintenance and safety issues and ensure they are corrected.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner this is a busy role and requires someone who is reliable, works well under pressure and can lead and supervise a team of people to ensure high quality food is always being served to our customers. You must be able to work well in a team environment. Ideally, you will also have the following:

• Minimum AQF Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery;
• very good food product knowledge; and
• an understanding of high-level food / catering production.
