Location: Matraville/Malabar, Sydney NSW Start Date: Mid-May 2026 Children: Boy (7) and Girl (4)
Driving: Not required (Everything is walking distance!)
Family Profile A warm, professional family in Sydney’s beautiful Eastern Suburbs is looking for an "older" Au Pair with life experience to become a valued member of their household. This is a truly special placement—their previous Au Pair loved this family so much she stayed for two years!
The parents are both busy professionals who value open communication and a patient, caring approach to childcare. They follow positive parenting styles and are looking for someone who will role-model these values for their two children.
Whats expected:
The Au Pair will be responsible for helping out with the children before and after school, as well as helping the household run smoothly. With both children in school and care during the day, you will have plenty of free time to enjoy the beach, study, or explore Sydney!
Main Tasks
Morning routine and school drop-offs.
Afternoon pick-ups and assisting with after-school activities.
Supporting the family routine and light household help.
Engaging with the children using a patient, "big little feelings" approach.
Accommodation & Location The family lives in a near-new, 5-bedroom duplex with full air-conditioning, shared with two cute cats!
Your Space: A private downstairs front room featuring air-conditioning, a TV, and its own private bathroom.
The Location: A fantastic coastal spot! Just a 15-minute walk to Malabar Beach and within easy walking distance to local buses, vibrant cafes, and restaurants.
Requirements
Childcare experience with primary school and preschool-aged children.
A patient, caring, and "big little feelings" approach to childcare.
Good communication skills and a genuine desire to be part of a family.
Life experience (this family prefers an older/more mature Au Pair).
No driving is required as school and activities are all within walking distance.
What’s Included
Pocket Money: Well above market rates!
