Bogan Mechanical Industries (BMI) is seeking a qualified Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Nyngan, Central West NSW.

Established in 2013, BMI was built to support the commercial automotive needs of regional NSW, initially servicing the rural sector that underpins our community.

Today, our workload reflects a balanced 50/50 mix of rural and mining clients, providing consistent, diverse and technically interesting work.

We specialise in:

Light commercial vehicles

Strong focus on Toyota vehicles

Rural fleet and mining support vehicles

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, transparent and reliable servicing, particularly for vehicles outside manufacturer warranty, while still maintaining the capability to complete warranty work.

The Role

You will work across a variety of vehicles and conditions, including regional, remote and heavy-use environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

Servicing light vehicles and commercial fleets

Basic automotive electrical diagnostics

Preparing clear, accurate job cards and documentation

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

Working both independently and within a small, capable team

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Trade qualification – Light Vehicle Mechanic (essential)

Experience working on light commercial vehicles (highly regarded)

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

Basic electrical knowledge

Ability to work independently in a regional environment

Strong work ethic and reliability

Ability to complete work within timeframes

Pride in workmanship and attention to detail



Essential Requirement

Solid English competency – spoken, written and comprehension (essential)
You must be able to:

Communicate clearly with customers and team members

Read and understand job instructions and manuals

Complete job cards and documentation accurately

Experience in Toyota vehicles, 4WDs, mining or rural equipment will be highly regarded.
