Job Description
We are seeking a chef/cook to join our team.
-Ability to work independently or as part of a team
-Competency in cooking in a commercial kitchen and upholding food safety standards (required to have a Food Handling Certificate for QLD)
-Cooking skills on the grill, pans, fryers and ovens and the composure to manage cooking for up to 50 meals solo.
-Attention to detail to ensure cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard, meals sent out are of a high quality, and stock control is managed to keep wastage to a minimum.
35-40 hours per week depending on the businesses needs
We are a team in our venue, front and back of house work together and support each other to achieve our goals, which are to serve great quality meals in a venue that prides itself on friendly country hospitality. We are excited to welcome fun loving, positive people into our family with open arms so you can have a great experience while working with us.
Accommodation in a share house can be provided.
It is recommended you have a car as it is 42kms to the nearest grocery store. If not, our staff go to town regularly for their chores so you may be able to catch a ride with them, or ask them to pick up an order while in town.

Description:
Busy country pub owned and run by young couple Danny & Natalie. They purchased the pub just over 12 months ago and since then they have done a number of renovations & refurbishments to update the old pub and breath some life back into the place. It is now thriving with locals regularly popping in for coffee, drinks and/or dinner. Travellers also camp overnight and visit the hotel both for lunch & dinner.
