Wonderful Live In Au Pair Opportunity With The Best Of Both Worlds In Melbourne City And Beaches

A warm, busy, and welcoming family in Altona, Melbourne is looking for their next super star Au Pair (their fourth!) to join their family. They have three gorgeous children aged 5, 3, and 2 and are excited to welcome someone who will become part of their family.

Your lovely Role
This is a live in role offering consistent hours during the week with weekends and most evenings free. You’ll provide care for one or two children during weekdays while the parents work.


About the Kids
Child 1 (5) – Curious, bright, and full of questions. Loves dance, swimming, and school life.
Child 2 (3) – Energetic, playful, and loving. Enjoys books, building blocks, and dance classes.
Child3 (2) – Sweet, talkative, and affectionate. Loves joining in with her older brothers and exploring the world around her.
The children attend school, kinder, and daycare on different days throughout the week, giving a nice rhythm and variety to your schedule.

Typical Day
Monday & Tuesday: Morning school/daycare drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups (middle of day off)
Wednesday: Day with M, plus school/kinder drop-offs and pick-ups
Thursday: Day with O and M, plus school runs
Occasional evening babysitting or weekend hours, planned in advance
The Family Home
You’ll have your own comfortable bedroom in a spacious, modern, family home featuring a pool, garden, and open living areas. The home is located close to Cherry Lake, parks, playgrounds, and Altona Beach, with easy access to two train stations for a quick ride into Melbourne CBD (around 35 minutes).

Lifestyle of the family
The family values a fun, healthy, and active lifestyle filled with good food, dance, and travel. Weekends are often spent exploring local cafes, beaches, or getting away to Victoria’s scenic regions like the Yarra Valley, Daylesford, or the Bellarine Peninsula.

They enjoy hosting dinners, BBQs, and get togethers, you’ll be very welcome to join in family meals, outings, and weekend trips if you wish.

Light Household Support
This role is primarily about the children, but you’ll also help with small everyday tasks related to shared living, such as:

Tidying play areas and shared spaces
Kids’ laundry
Preparing children’s meals and snacks
Cooking a family meal once a week
Cleaning up after shared activities
A cleaner visits every two weeks for deeper cleaning, so this is not a cleaning role.
