Job Description

The Asset Support Technician will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of asset management system during the initial operational phase of the facility.
The position will initially involve significant computer-based work including asset data entry, document review, and maintenance strategy development.
Over time, the role will transition into broader hands-on support of critical facility systems including clean utilities and building services.
Working closely with the Facilities Engineer, the technician will assist in ensuring asset information integrity, maintenance readiness, and reliable operation of GMP-critical infrastructure.
The role is initially structured as a casual position for 6 months (could be extended further) with a strong focus on supporting asset system implementation and facilities readiness activities.
Working hours will be 8-5pm or 9-6pm

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the population and development of the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Perform structured asset data entry including equipment details, asset hierarchies, maintenance tasks and calibration records.
• Review vendor manuals, commissioning documents and certificates to identify maintenance requirements.
• Upload and organise engineering documentation including procedures, drawings and technical records.
• Support development of preventative maintenance strategies and job plans.
• Assist with routine inspections and monitoring of building services and plant equipment.
• Assist in coordination and preparation of planned maintenance activities.
• Work in accordance with GMP and site safety requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience working with industrial equipment or building services.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with computers and structured technical information.
• High attention to detail and organized approach to work.
• You enjoy being part of a small, collaborative team.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with CMMS or asset management systems.
• Exposure to HVAC systems, clean utilities or pharmaceutical facilities.
• Experience supporting WFI systems or similar process utilities.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance and calibration principles.
• Mechanical trade qualification (e.g. Fitter & Machinist, Mechanical Fitter or similar)
