Job Description
✨ Nanny / Domestic Role / Station help – Family Cattle Station
>> Near Cloncurry, NW QLD
>> Full-time role for 6–12 months, starting now (April 2026.)
We are looking for our next station helper/nanny/household all-rounder to join our busy outback family. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with kids, can cook for big groups, can clean and wants to be part of family life on a cattle station.
Both mum and dad work full-time, so we’re after someone reliable, organised, and caring to keep things running smoothly at home.
About the role:
• Helping with our kids at home (7 and 10). They are at school in Cloncurry (30km away), so driving is part of the role.
• Prepping and cooking meals for our family and station workers on most weekdays.
• General housekeeping including cleaning, laundry, tidying, some gardening and animal feeding.
• Pitching in with whatever comes up on a family cattle station – flexibility is key!
What we’re looking for:
• Someone who enjoys kids and family life, but is also confident and organised with cooking and household tasks.
• Drivers licence essential, plus confident driving skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Handy if one of you has farm/station experience (particularly Queensland/NT cattle station).
• Will consider couples if the experience suits.
• Must be active, hardworking, and genuinely keen for an outback experience.
What we offer
• Separate accommodation (own room, fridge, bathroom).
• All meals plus weekly award wage.
• 4-week trial period with option to extend up to 12 months.
• Eligible for 2nd or 3rd year visa days.
• The chance to join in station activities (mustering, motorbikes, horses, community events) if you’re interested.
