Excom Civil is a family-owned and operated business based in beautiful Caves Beach on the NSW coastline. We’re a friendly, down-to-earth crew that takes pride in working hard, supporting each other and creating a positive workplace environment.
Located minutes from the beach, surf, cafes and Lake Macquarie, this role could suit a local looking for long-term work or even a backpacker wanting steady full-time hours while living in one of the most scenic coastal areas in NSW.
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Waste Recycling Plant Operator to join our growing team at our recycling facility in Caves Beach.
About the Role:
- Our recycling plant processes non-destructive digging (NDD) waste generated by our fleet of vacuum excavation trucks operating across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast and greater NSW.
The role includes:
- Operating recycling and screening plant equipment
- Loading and unloading materials
- General yard duties and maintenance
- Assisting with waste sorting and processing
- Supporting vacuum truck operations where required
- Maintaining a safe and tidy worksite
No prior industry experience is necessary - full training will be provided to the right candidate.
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work outdoors and in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- HR Licence preferred (not essential)
- Machinery, labouring or truck experience highly regarded
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
