Geological Field Assistant

Munro Geological is looking for a Geological Technician to work in a mine core yard and in the field in the Northern Riverina district of NSW.
The role will include:
* Core cutting, marking up, sampling, photography and storage of core samples.
* data entry of geological results.
* Setting of grids for drilling.
* Collection of samples from ROM, field and drilling activities.
* General support to field exploration activities.
* Monitoring of stock inventory.
This role will include:
*Adhering to all of the company’s and clients Policies and Procedures
* Be actively involved in the development of the company’s and clients Safety Procedures and Hazard Identification.

If you have experience in any of these areas we encourage you to apply. Previous experience as a Geologist/Geological Field Assistant or a Environmental Scientist/ Technician or an engineer/ Surveyor, general laborer or agricultural work is desirable. Mining Industry Experience is also preferred, though not essential.

Forklift license is essential and First aid CPR is preferred. An Australian drivers license is preferred. You can live in the towns of West Wyalong or Temora or DIDO from within a 3 hour radius.
The roster is 8 days on and 6 days off. 10-12 hour days. Accommodation provided if DIDO.

Role starts early ASAP and will go for approximately 3 months. Ongoing work on other MGS projects may be available.
