A wonderful opportunity to join a warm, welcoming, and experienced host family living on a peaceful acreage property in Bunya, in Brisbane’s leafy northern suburbs. This close-knit family has hosted au pairs before and truly values cultural exchange, kindness, and creating a calm, supportive home environment.

You’ll be helping care for a happy and curious 18-month-old little girl approximately 24 hours per week, with care generally required Monday to Wednesday only. The rest of the week — including weekends — will be completely free for you to explore, relax, or enjoy everything Brisbane has to offer. This is an ideal role for someone with toddler experience who enjoys a consistent routine, gentle care, and plenty of independence in their schedule. Occasional flexibility may be appreciated, but the family routine is well structured.

The family live in a spacious 5-bedroom home on a large acreage property backing onto state forest, offering a peaceful lifestyle surrounded by nature while still being just 13km from the Brisbane CBD. You’ll have your own private, air-conditioned bedroom with TV and built-in cupboards, access to a pool, and use of a family car for personal outings.

The home is close to shops, cafés, medical centres, public transport, parks, walking trails, and the Ferny Grove train station. Chermside and major shopping centres are just a short drive away.

The household includes working parents, adult children, and a teenager, creating a lively but respectful family dynamic. The family values open communication, mutual respect, and ensuring their au pair feels genuinely at home — not just supported, but included. They are looking for a female, non-smoking au pair who is confident caring for toddlers and enjoys being part of a family environment.
