Relief Hotel Manager – Weekend Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Relief Hotel Manager to join our team in a hands-on operational role. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, can confidently make decisions independently, and treats the property as if it were their own.

This role is primarily focused on weekend operations, with accommodation provided onsite Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Approximately 25 hours per week are available on a casual basis. we can give more in housekeeping during the week

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel during your shifts, ensuring smooth operations across front office, guest services, housekeeping coordination, and overall presentation of the property.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Managing hotel operations during rostered shifts
Front office and reception duties
Guest check-ins and check-outs
Managing bookings and reservations
Using RMS and other hotel booking systems
Handling guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Supervising staff and coordinating operational requirements
Monitoring cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the property
Completing daily reporting and communication with management
Assisting with administrative and operational tasks as required
Maintaining a hands-on approach across all departments when needed
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 3–5 years hotel industry experience
Previous supervisory or management experience essential
Fluent English communication skills
Strong administration and organisational skills
Experience using RMS or any hotel booking systems
Ability to work independently and make confident decisions
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive attitude
Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of responsibility

Approximately 25 hours per week reception, can build up more in housekeeping
Accommodation provided onsite Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Saturday: 38.78 per hour
Sunday: 45.24 per hour
