Live in Au pair position – Taringa
Location: Taringa, Brisbane

Busy, social family in Taringa looking for a live in Au pair to help them with their two children; a 12 year old boy and 9 year old girl. The family enjoys being active and social and enjoys getting together regularly with family and friends. They live in a large home with a pool approximately 10-15 mins from the city, 1500m from a large shopping centre and very close to public transport.
Dad is a lawyer who works fairly long hours during the week and Mum is very busy with volunteer commitments and looking after the children. Their 12 year old boy is really lovely and well behaved and enjoys playing soccer, piano and computer games. Their 9 year old girl is outgoing and well behaved and enjoys dancing and outdoor activities. Both children attend the local state school which is walking distance from home but they are normally dropped off by car. They also have a 15 year old cat who generally keeps to herself.
The family is looking for an Au pair who has previous experience working with primary school aged children, has a drivers licence and is confident driving around Brisbane. Mum is unable to drive so the Au Pair will be required to drive the kids to and from school and to school activities as well as drive Mum to the grocery store and other local places so she can run errands. Besides assisting with the care of the children you will be required to help with light household duties such as stacking the dishwasher, cleaning children rooms and shared spaces, helping with homework, preparing children's meals and lunches and cooking dinner a few times a week.
You will be required to work 30 hours a week with most of Friday, Saturday and Sundays off. Hours will vary however they will generally be 7-9am and 3-7pm Monday to Thursday and Friday morning. Flexibility is required.
The family are looking for an Au pair who is experienced with children, calm, patient, nurturing, outgoing, social, independent, emotionally intelligent, responsible and safety conscious. You must be a non smoker, have a drivers licence and be a confident driver. You will need to have a Working with Children check (Blue Card) or be willing to obtain one (which we can help you with), as well as a Police check from your home country.
You will be provided with your own bedroom with large ensuite, access to the family pool and local use of a vehicle as agreed.
This is a relaxed and easy going family who enjoy travelling and being outdoors and look forward to welcoming an Au Pair into their family.
