Norfolk Island is a little piece of paradise way out in the South Pacific located between NZ and New Caledonia and roughly in line with Ballina's latitude. We are part of Australia and our economy is all about tourism. We are the largest hotel on the island and urgently need your help within our Kitchen! We need someone immediately.

Our previous backpackers have absolutely loved the experience of living on a beautiful island where everything is in easy distance with beaches, snorkeling, interesting Australian history, great food, all the sports you can imagine and just a lovely place. That's why tourists love it so much. It is not a night life type of place - just a chill out island.

Our restaurant is open for breakfast 7 days a week, Lunch and Dinner 5 days per week and you would have 2 days off per week. Average 40+ hours/week. The role involves all kitchen duties including food preparation, cooking, plating, cleaning and working closely with the head chef and the rest of the team. Hard work but very rewarding. Experience is necessary.

We need you for 3+months. Rate will be discussed with the successful applicant. We can offer accommodation as a part of your employment.

It is a good balance for earning money but still having the time to enjoy the island - one of the reasons you have chosen Australia for your big adventure. Try something other than a farm or big city - you'll love it.
