Cocoon is Sydney’s newest accommodation enterprise, offering shared accommodation for like-minded individuals from Australia and all over the world and we want your to help manage our rapid expansion to ensure our guests enjoy maximum satisfaction while they are here in Sydney!


What we do:

We provide accommodation solutions to people new to Sydney in our own beautiful, furnished, centrally located share houses throughout this amazing city. We strive to make our tenants’ transition to Sydney as smooth as possible so they will want to stay and enjoy this great life.


With rent incredibly high and prohibitive in Sydney, we offer tenants a clean, safe and affordable way to adjust to this new city. .


As Project and Operations Manager you would be required to:


1. Source, furnish, and coordinate the set up new Cocoon properties on a tight timeline
2. Lead a team of 4+ staff to ensure new house setup runs smoothly
3. Maintain high occupancy in our properties by coordinating and managing the companies tenant sourcing operations
4. Manage communication between Cocoon and prospective, current and past guests
5. Ensure happy lifestyles of all guests through organizing regular suitable social events
6. Streamline all Cocoon Operations including advertisements, inspections, sales and repairs to our properties
7. Set up partnership agreements with various organizations to assist Cocoon’s expansion


Working Hours and Locations and Remuneration

1. Normal hours are mid-morning until evening but we are all flexible and want to create a job that works around your schedule

2. Our office is primarily located above Wynyard Station but candidates should be prepared to travel outside of the office regularly to view accommodation sites, (tele-commuting may also be possible depending on individual candidate)

3. Remuneration negotiable based on the individuals’ working hours, experience and skillset


Ideal candidates will have the following traits:


1. Experience using Google drive to create and manage Google sheets, Google docs and Google forms etc.

2. Experience working and training other staff – having previous leadership experience looked upon favourably

3. Be highly personable and outgoing

4. Customer-satisfaction orientated

5. The desire to work in a growing team

6. Excellent communication skills especially with foreign employees and guests

7. Possess time outstanding time management skills

8. Handyman skills



A drivers license is required, and own vehicle a bonus.
