Removalist/warehouse

We require up numerous people to assist our crews over the summer peak (October/January).

The job involves working with our packing and removals crews, packing and unpacking boxes, both in the warehouse and off-site, as well as assisting with the loading of containers for international and interstate transport.

The positions will suit individuals with above average fitness levels who enjoy strong physical labour, as heavy lifting is involved and there can be long hours spent on your feet.

Working days are Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday. Working hours commence around 6:00am and the working day is generally finished by 4:00pm. (Overtime unlikely in the first two weeks.)

The warehouse is not easily accessible by public transport, so ideal applicants will live locally or have their own transport.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a safety induction and basic training on materials handling and packing practices at our Mt Waverley warehouse prior to December. This should take no more than 8 hours. There will then be additional supervised training in the warehouse when students commence work, with the employees that will be handling furniture. Students will be paid for all training hours at the normal (above-stated) rate of pay.
