Groom/rider - Immediate Start

Yirrkala Stud is a small Warmblood Showjumping Stud situated on the Central Coast NSW, 1 1/2 hours north of Sydney.We are looking for an experienced friendly enthusiastic, self motivated Groom/experience flat work rider who ideally has experience jumping young horses in a professional stable. The person MUST have had prior experience looking after young horses and preferably STALLIONS. Ideally you will be in your mid 20’s and have a real passion for horses.
Duties will include:- daily care of horses and their environments- grooming for rider, riding young horses, lunging and some daily grooming tasks such as feeding, rugging/unrugging, shelter cleaning and general housekeeping if the farm.
You need to be able to work by yourself as well as be happy to be part of a small team. Please do not apply if you do not have suitable experience. This is at least a 3 month assignment with a 2 week trial period. We cannot provide 2nd year visas. Shared accommodation. 5 1/2 days a week. Own transport preferable but you must be able to drive a manual vehicle and speak reasonable English.
