Fabulous live in Au Pair role – 4 days on 4 days off in Perth
The family live in the lovely suburb of Bull Creek, 12km south of Perth. They are only 12 minutes to the city and 25 minutes to the beaches and live in a lovely house with a vegetable garden and swimming pool. They are looking forward to welcoming their first Au Pair into their home.
This is a fabulous family – they have an adorable boy who is 10 months old. The wife works as an industrial chemist and the husband is a Doctor and they are looking for someone who can join their family and assist with caring for their son. The wife works shifts with a 2 full days on, 2 nights, 4 days off rosta, so you would be required to care for the little boy two days a week then assist with some hours in the afternoon and early evening when the mother is on night shifts then you would have 4 days off. The schedule will change each week however there will be plenty of opportunity in between to get out and explore and have time off as you will have 4 days off in a row.
The little boy is bright, bubbly, and interactive and likes spending time learning how to play with his toys, exploring the plants in the garden, going for walks in his stroller and visiting the animals at the zoo. Your main duties would involve changing nappies, feeding, playing and interacting with him, reading books, settling him to sleep when he gets tired, and keeping him safe when his parents are both working.
You would have a comfortable room with a single bed and a desk. A television can be provided for your room if requested. You would share a bathroom with the baby which has a bath and a separate shower. The house has front and back living areas so there would also be times when you could have a choice to spend free time out of your room either on your own or joining in with the family. The house is connected to high speed broadband and you would have access to the family’s wi-fi network.
Hours would be approximately 30 a week with 2 full days, 2 afternoon and evenings a week then 4 days off, enabling you to go away for a few days or relax and explore the local area.
The family has also been involved in founding a not-for-profit social enterprise that assists Aboriginal people overcome disadvantage and promote sustainable health. If you are interested, there may be an opportunity to learn about Aboriginal culture and connect with a remote community in the Kimberley as well as volunteer for a worthy cause.
