Position Description: Volunteer Work. NO SECOND YEAR VISA EXTENSION
Eslin Sustainable Living & Learning Centre; at Solutions for Sustainable Living, Moina (near Cradle Mountain) Tasmania, offers opportunities for your consideration, with experiences into low cost simple affordable sustainable living. The property is located in a rural close to nature environment.
This offer is only for those who have a genuine interest, wish to experience and want to learn through involvement and participation in the varied project activities currently being undertaken, (which are constantly changing). Information and examples of sustainable low energy, low entropy practices are provided to participants across a range of subject areas, which include; Organic food growing systems and practices, low cost building structures, energy power systems and minimisation. Living in a powerful natural environment, and living with and caring for animals is part of the experience we offer you.
This offer is for those who would want to have a woofing type exchange, for a limited number of working hours, (25 hours project work per/week, which does not include personal domestic work time). Accommodation, food and meals are provided and inclusive as part of any arrangement we might make.
Due to the financial cost we incur, and the time and energy we put into you, it usually comes at a high cost for us to provide this unique, educational and experiential service to individuals wanting for a better and more sustainable world.
Our minimum stay is for one month; longer stays can be had by mutual arrangement. It normally takes a couple of weeks for a person to get used to the simple living practices we engage in here at the Centre. You really have to think about your actions and become conscious of them in ways you do not consider in a consumer wasteful world. Here is where you can have rustic, close to nature experiences. The Earth energy can be both exquisite and palpable in this place. How it speaks to you, is through your connection to it.
Due to untrue and the many deceitful applications made to come to the Eslin Centre, we have had to close our property for a period of time. We now require a bond of $130 for people to receive a placement. This bond will be returned to all genuine applicants before their committed stay period has concluded. “”““We have had far, far to many unfit and lazy people arrive here, many of whom are addicted to social media, who are not interested in sustainability and do not want to contribute. If this is you, do not apply to come here; you will lose your bond.”“”“ Our places are only for those who are genuine and who want to have this unique learning and experiential opportunity.
PLEASE NOTE: APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE REPLIED TO IF THEY DO NOT HAVE OR SHOW REASON OR RELEVANCY FOR THE POSITION BEING OFFERED. You need to say why you would like to have a stay at the Eslin Sustainable Living & Learning Centre.
