Sleepover Staff In An Supported Accommodation In Lancefield

Karinya Home SRS need some sleepover staff to work overnight. This place is mainly for people with disabilities. This is a low care facility. Most of the residents here are very independent and friendly. Residents here have mild mental health issues, but very well-managed by medication. It looks like a home instead of hospital

We need some staff to work at night. The routine work of the position is to make supper and breakfast and give them medication from webster-pack as well as some very light cleaning jobs such as washing dishes, wiping tables and sweeping floor. English is necessary, compulsory and important to communicate with residents.

The working time is from 5:30PM to 9:00AM. There are about only 3-4 hours to work when you awake. Most of the time at night, you are allowed to sleep or do something else on your own. If there is an emergency at night, you need to get up and deal with it. However, in very rear case, an emergency may happen.


We require that staff need first aid certificate. However, if you do not have first aid certificate, you can have the course later. It is better that you have some experiences on looking after disabilities. If not, we can also give you training. The most important thing is to well communicate with residents.

所谓夜班就是sleepover,可以睡觉。

主要工作是准备supper,早餐，发药，以及处理紧急情况和一些很简单的厨房清洁任务。

工作比较轻松，可以和residents交流。可以学习到很多经验。

如果你有 Certificate III in aged care以及相关的证书自然最好。

如果没有的话也可以来培训。需要有first aid certificate， first aid certificate如果没有，可以正式上岗后再去考也来得及。

老人院环境很好，residents素质很高，都很Independent,晚上基本上没有什么紧急情况要处理。

Sleepover从5:30PM-9:00AM,事情处理完就可以睡觉。如果你是学生或者是正在找工作，希望你不要看到时间这么长久害怕了，大部分时间，我说99%的时间你都在睡觉，真正醒着工作不会超过4个小时。只有你真正来尝试过了，才会知道这是一个什么样的工作。我们欢迎学生，也欢迎正在找工作的朋友。

Cook的话就是在厨房做一些简单的餐和一些非常简单的清洁任务，周末的餐就更简单了。主要还是英语要可以交流，这个才是最重要的，因为和residents交流你要听得懂他们是需要什么，你才有能力来提供一些服务给他们。
