Horse Caretaker And Trainer

Our farm is based near Noosa Heads. We are looking for someone to help with horse care. There are three horses, two of which are being broken and trained to ride.

This is a WOOFing job so the exchange is 25 hours of work a week in exchange for all you can eat yummy food made by the cooks and free accommodation in two bedroom rooms with AirCon and Heating. We do not sign off on second year visas. Free wifi, access to toilet and showers, TV, all included. If you are a hard worker the boss will also sometimes pay for weekend trips. While I've been here I've been to snapper rocks for the WSL surf contest, surfing at Noosa Heads, and scuba diving near Brisbane.

The horses names are Sophia, Snip, and George. The duties will include feeding, grooming, and training them. They are really well mannered horses and eager to learn. They've been started under saddle but are not fully broken in yet. Horse experience is a must but most of the tasks can be taught to anyone who is comfortable around animals.
If you are traveling with a partner there is plenty of other work here that they can help with.
