Gatton Freedom Lifestyle Park is situation on Eastern Drive Gatton in the heart of the Lockyer Valley. It is a vibrant, profitable park that works closely with local businesses and farmers.

About the role

To confidently lead and work with the team at the Gatton Caravan Park. The park has 100 sites of caravans within walking distance to the Gatton town centre. The park is popular with international backpackers who come to the region to work on local farms. The team comprises of the managers, 2 assistant managers, a cleaner and an office person.

The park is operated similar to a hostel, in that beds are filled as the workers arrive. Each van is configured by beds with communal living and working. Having experience of working in a hostel or running a backpacker accommodation would be desirable.

Skills and experience

You will have a hands-on approach and your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

· Front Office management - all aspects

· General finance, including day to day processing, petty cash and balancing

· Management of guests accounts, forward bookings and reservations

· Park Operations, organisation and participation, including out of hours responsibilities

· Grounds, pool and maintenance and repair of caravans

· Stock control

As a couple, you will be dedicated, driven and able to lead the Park and work the park hours and be available for out-of-hours call-outs. You will be able to prioritise your work load to achieve daily outcomes. You will bring to the role:

· Computer literacy in particular the MS Office suite

· Great people and relationships building skills

· Previous proven experience in grounds, pool and general building maintenance

· A flexible attitude to work from 8am – 6pm

· Working on a 5 day on and 2 day off relief roster with the assistant managers

· Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WH&S and responsibilities

· Must have experience with RMS9 or RMS 9 (reservation system)

· Salary is $1,600per week per couple quarterly bonuses

In return, we offer a generous salary package that includes on-site accommodation in one of our renovated cabins which includes free rent, water and electricity.

Previous caravan park experience and knowledge of RMS 9 or RMS 9 is a definite advantage. Having previously worked with backpackers, or at a hostel would also be a definite advantage.

It is important that you are happy to live and work in a residential caravan park, have good people management skills, a strong work ethic and a happy disposition. Our park is situated on Eastern Drive Gatton and is very popular with working backpackers who are travelling internationally and working on the local farms.
