The 48-room village style property is located beneath a canopy of trees beside Yellow Water Billabong, home to world-renowned Yellow Water Cruises, where crocodiles and birds are seen on the flood plain amongst Paperbark, Pandanus and Fresh Water Mangroves. ABOUT THE DEMI CHEF POSITION

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for working within a team environment in a fast paced kitchen. You will be responsible for delivery high quality food to our guests throughout all meal periods as required. You have a passion for food, which is evident in the ideas and menu creations. You are an artist in your field and you are proud of the food you produce.

Key Duties include, though are not limited to:

-Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards
-Prepare and cook all food orders with a sense of urgency
-Organise an assigned section and ensure it runs efficiently and productively
-Ensure the area of work is kept clean at all times in accordance with health regulations
-Work within a team environment which displays growth within the team

To be successful in this role, you will have:

-A commercial cookery qualification, previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment for at least 3 years post apprenticeship.
-Experience providing quality food and presentation of all dishes
-Knowledge of WHS and food safety policies and procedures
-Relevant food preparation and service knowledge
-The ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills
