Farm Hand

Nomuula Dorpers and White Dorpers Moonbi, New South Wales

Job Description

I am looking for one or two backpackers who are interested in all aspects of farming life and would like to spend some time helping to run a Dorper Sheep Stud. You must be passionate about working with all animals from Sheep to Cattle, Maremma dogs and Kelpie dogs.
My Stud is located in Moonbi NSW, 20klm north of Tamworth. There are daily busses, trains and planes into Tamworth which is the Country Music Capital of Australia.
The farming experience is available immediately.
The correct person or persons for the position would need to be trained in the daily running of the stud, which requires attention to detail and manual labour in feeding stock and changing irrigation from time to time.
You would have to have a current drivers license as there would be a need to go from farm to farm as we have more than one property. A company vehicle will be provided. Applicants must be of a responsible nature.
As we are about to start lambing there will be plenty to do including weighing and tagging new born lambs.
Accommodation in a fully furnished house is provided, some food is supplied weekly. A commission of 200.00 weekly applies.
A wide range of tasks will be required from feeding sheep, cattle and dogs daily to mowing, changing irrigation to cleaning up paddocks and gardening, hosing out dog kennels and rotating stock into different paddocks.
We at Nomuula are very hands on and work as a team and forward thinking is a must.
English speaking is necessary.
It is preferable that you have farming experience.
If you think this job would suit you, please give me a call on 0413611011 and discuss the position or send me your details and a resume to [email address removed]
