Our client is a locally owned transport business based in Young NSW. We are seeking a qualified & experienced Heavy Industry Diesel Mechanic to support the business.
Your key responsibilities will include ;
Taking a hands on approach to proactively ensure all plant, machinery & equipment are functioning to the required standard
Undertake preventative maintenance programmes in line with scheduling.
Analyse product specifications and plant capacity to determine correct processes, tools, sequences to ensure asset up time
Auto electrical diagnostic and review
Demonstrate an uncompromising approach to your safety and the people working with you.
To be considered for this role you will;
Hold a plant mechanic or diesel mechanic trade certificate or have a significant experience.
Knowledge of Cummins & CAT Engines essential
Exceptional diagnostic skills with regard to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
Ideally have a valid MC (Multi Combination) driver’s licence with a satisfactory driving record.
Have welding experience.
Be a disciplined self-starter with natural problem solving skills.
Take pride in your teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
Appreciate the importance of breakdown prioritising and urgency.
In addition to your mechanical skills we are particularly focused on securing a new team member who are the right FIT for the business. You will mostly likely be described as community minded, have an friendly personality, someone who takes pride in their work and has a good sense of humour at the same time.
An attractive package will be negotiated, commensurate with experience.
Salary: $30.00 to $37.00 /hour
