Dingo Blue Backpackers are now taking bookings for the season.

You have applied at a great time of year to complete your 88 days for your second year visa.

The jobs we have available at the moment are – picking, planting and packing– work hourly (Casual or part time) and piece worker.

NEW jobs picking capsicum hourly paid and cherry tomatoes piece rate paid.

Your work manager will allocate you a position on arrival.

I only now have a few rooms remaining and work placements – spots are filling fast.

Work is 5-6 days per week (weather dependant) and hours depend on the season but up to 38 hours per week and more in peak season . Once you arrive at your working hostel, it may take up to few days to place you in work but we will endeavour to find you a placement where you can complete your 88 days.

Be prepared to work, have the right attitude and want experience life in regional QLD and make great friends.

Pay rate – casual/ piece worker or part time depending on the job - full compliance with awards and Fair Work Australia, 9.5% superannuation.
Accommodation is at one of our fully government accredited, and immigration approved working hostels. All work is eligible work your 2nd year visa!

Some things you need to know:
You must have an Australian Bank account, a Tax File Number and a Superannuation account before coming to the hostel.

Accommodation starts at $180 per person per week up to $230 per person per week depending on which of our hostels has vacancies and the time you wish to arrive and is inclusive of all transport to work and free WIFI.

We only have "rent day" 1 day per week on a Thursday so depending on what day you arrive you will pay the nightly rate of the appropriate hostel – then you will need to pay 1 weeks rent again on the Thursday so please ensure you arrive with enough money in your bank to be able to pay this as we are very strict with payment of rent and some farms only pay fortnightly so please ensure you arrive with enough money to live and pay rent for approx. 3-4 weeks.
Rent must be paid 1 week in advance and rent is payable each Thursday for the week in advance unless you have advised an earlier check out date.

Bond is $100 and payable via PayPal prior to check in to confirm your spot – once you have given your arrival date you will be sent the address of the hostel you are booked into and the link to pay the $100 deposit. (this will be refunded when you leave and if you cancel your booking with at least 48 hours’ notice)

You may purchase a high vis long sleeved sun protective shirt from the hostel at check in if you don’t have one - they are $15 - you MUST have a long sleeved high vis to work on our partner farms under Australian workplace safety laws - you also need a broad brimmed hat and drink containers that can hold at least 4 litres of water e.g 2 x 2ltre or 4 x 1ltre (you can get from Coles) All work is eligible for 2nd year visa under immigration rules and we only work with farms that operate under Australian workplace rules.
