We are advertising for a someone who is looking for an Aussie farm experience. This is an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to work on a Sheep ,Cattle and Grain Station. We are a family run property at Forbes, central NSW; running Sheep, Cattle ,horses, dogs and chickens plus growing cereal grains
We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and hard-working, who is keen to learn and looking for a genuine experience of farm life in Australia.
You will learn all about:
• Animal management (moving sheep to new paddocks, shearing etc)
• Property maintenance and fencing
• Feeding animals and checking water
This is a voluntary position with 'on-the-job' training; food, accommodation & internet are provided in return for your help in every day farm tasks. We have many people who go on to paid farm positions with the experience they gain with us.
This is a great opportunity if you have no farm experience and would like to get a job to complete your 88 days for your 2nd WHV, as we will provide you with a 'Statement of Achievement' and reference so you are highly employable in the farm sector
We CAN NOT sign off on the 2nd Working Holiday Visa
Car and fuel are provided for running errands, so a clean, approved licence and ability to drive a MANUAL car is essential.
You need to be adaptable, easy going and willing to give new things a try.
We would love someone to stay for 3 months. But a minimum of 4 weeks OK
