Job Description
Camp volunteers are needed for Blazeaid in Towamba, NSW. This is a volunteer position but you will be provided with free lodging, three meals a day, and a sign-off on your 88 days for the 417 and 462 visas. If you have your own accommodation (ie. campervan or tent), we have plenty of space to set that up as well. The camp also has toilet blocks and hot showers.
The volunteer job would include fencing with occasional cooking and cleaning. We work with local farmers and residents as we help them repair boundary fences that have been damaged by fire. The work we do is greatly appreciated by the farmers and it feels good giving back to the local community.
Ideally, you would have your own transportation as we are 40 minutes from the nearest town. Due to the Covid-19 resurgence, we may deny applicants that would be traveling here from a hotspot and we will be requesting proof of 2-week quarantine or a negative Covid test result.
