Rural farm based Nanny
A unique and exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic young individual wanting to experience rural family life on our farm 80kms west of Goondiwindi in southern Queensland.
We farm cotton, cereal crops and cattle and are wanting someone to assist with the daily care of our three children (Hunter 6, Evie 4 and Jack 1) and assist with other general household/garden and farm duties.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to experience rural family life in an idyllic country setting.
It is an advantage if you love animals as we have lots of horses/ponies and dogs. Weekends are often spent going for rides with the kids/the occasional cattle muster on horseback/pony club or polo.
For downtime we love going for camp fire picnics down on the river or keeping cool in the pool in our hot Summers.
We are part of a great community and all our nanny’s become immersed in our social life and gatherings.
Our nearest main shopping/service town is approximately an hour away so we only head into town once a week and a vehicle will be supplied to the right applicant for weekly/fortnightly town trips for personal shopping/access to services. There is a smaller town only 20 minutes away with a great pub which is a favourite amongst the locals. We head there with the family on a regular basis.
Our nanny’s are provided with their own bedroom in a three-bedroom self-contained cottage with own kitchen/living area.
The right applicant will be fun, enthusiastic and full of energy. You must be prepared to be flexible to fit in with our ever changing farming/family routine.
It is essential that you love being around children and show an interest in their welfare and daily activities.
You must have a driver’s licence and be an experienced and confident driver to be safe on our country roads. It is an advantage if you can drive a manual.
The successful applicant will receive remuneration in the form of a weekly wage, board and keep.
We would preferably like to see the applicant stay for a minimum of 3 months however the position is open for longer for the right applicant. Nanny’s who stay on longer get incremental pay rises every 3 months for the first year.
If you are interested in this position please email me a copy of your resume to Bridget@morellaag.com.au together with some information on your background, why you are applying for the position and what you hope to get out of it. Happy to also take any queries/questions.
Our family is very much looking forward to welcoming our next nanny onto our farm!
