Job Description
Available between mid Nov and mid Dec 2020, approx 5-8 day stay.
Looking for two (to keep each other company while working!) friendly, easygoing helpers at a time (travelling together), who would like a place to stay in West Hobart, 25mins' walk to centre of Hobart). Jobs I need help with are taming a smallish overgrown garden (lots of careful weeding), and possibly, painting/oiling an external deck.
Looking for approx. 5-8 day stay, around 2.5-3hrs' work per person per day, very welcome to work 5-6hrs and take days off. I'm a female biologist in my 40s, young-spirited, and I work from home most of the time at the moment. Simple meals provided - cooked dinners if you are happy with vegetarian - otherwise you are welcome to use the kitchen anytime to cook your own food; ingredients provided for you to grab your own cereal/yoghurt/toast for breakfast and filled rolls/ toasted sandwiches for lunches - we can chat about exact details. You may sometimes need to fend for yourselves for dinner (e.g. if I have evening commitments) - we can chat about options, but I'd typically be able to prepare something beforehand for you. Although I'm vegetarian I don't mind at all if people cook /eat meat.
Up to 2 double beds available in different rooms - one is an inflatable but still comfy and with good support.
Limited free wife available (enough for email/websites but not enough for streaming/movie downloads or lots of Youtube, so you may need to rely on your phone data for that); no TV or sound system yet unfortunately... (Still establishing house after moving in...). House will be tidy but 'lived in' - not a display home! :) Street is quiet and backs onto the 'Knocklofty Reserve' and the foothills of Mt Wellington - great for bushwalks. Hobart city/Salamanca/wharf, Sunday Farmers' market, North Hobart cafe strip and South Hobart are all 20-25mins' walk down the hill, and nearest bus stop is 5mins' walk away.
Can collect/drop you places locally if am free, also.
