We are a broadacre farm based at the foot of the Stirling Range National Park. 50 mins from Denmark & Albany.
We grow our crops with an emphasis on producing nutrient dense food and improve our soils, often termed Regenerative Agriculture or biological farming. We are also getting back into stock with Merino Sheep and an exciting project with a retired farmer who wants to grow ultra fine wool.
We love hosting like minded travellers from around the world (and have had a few aussies come too) for work exchange of 4 hours/5 days a week.
We provide great food, accomodation in a caravan or park your own van up with access to a comfortable laundry, bathroom, fridge and bench top area.
We welcome you to become part of the family while you are with us and are included in as much as you want to be.
Jobs could include helping with our young children, farm work including teaching you how to drive farm equipment, harvesting trail plots, pulling out fences, gardening, collecting coffee grounds and spent grain from breweries & local cafes for our vermicast (based in Albany and Denmark, Mt Barker & Porongurups) you pick up and have a day out too.
We are designing our orchard and garden area atm so any input with that would be fab. Compost toilets, biogas and alternative energy are some our favourite topics.
We head to the Kwoorabup Markets in Denmarks every Sunday to sell our grains and hay/pea straw bales and that is always a great day out.
People welcome to stay for up to two months but stay as little as you like too.
We like to work with people’s talents and appreciation any help we can get. Look forward to catching up with you.
