Sheep Handlers
Mick Laracy Contracting Hay, New South Wales
2nd Year Visa Eligible
Job Description
We are looking for 4 young men who know how to take specific instructions and work hard. You will be part of our Lamb Marking team which will commence work around the end of May ‘21 for ten to twelve weeks.
This is very physical and dirty work so please research what “lamb marking and mulesing” involves before applying as it’s not a job for everyone, but a necessary job in our part of the world.
You will be relied upon to do your part in the team - picking up lambs, ear marking and tagging and various other duties, when we work - we all work - it takes all of us to complete the job. We usually work 6-7 days a week depending on the season and then have a day off if it rains too heavy ( not often!).
The wage is $250 per day and can differ from 4 hours to 9 hours work - regardless you receive $250 a day. Accomodation is provided in a self contained house with your own room, electricity and wifi ( costing $220 week each).
If you are a group of hard working friends, or just on your own we will consider you.- please make sure you have all your paperwork in order to be able to work and complete the whole duration with us.
Please provide us your work history and a current picture of yourself. Feel free to ask any questions. We have been getting help from the backpacker community for 6 years now and the relationships have been very successful and always leave as friends, so if you have an easygoing personality but know how to do as you are asked with great drive- please introduce yourselves to us :)
