Do You Have Experience Working With Horses - Groom

We have two farms in Mulgoa and Wagga Wagga NSW. We compete showjumping horses and break in, pre train and spell racehorses. We also breed showjumping horses. You would work closely with Tom McDermott the current Australian Showjumping Champion. As we have two farms we are able to sign off 2nd and 3rd year visas, we are looking for someone to work at our Mulgoa farm. The farm is situated 1 hour by train from Sydney and is close to the Blue Mountains. It is easy to catch the train to beaches and other tourist sights in Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

We are looking for a groom - all normal stable duties, feed horses, mixing feeds, cleaning stables, put horses in their day paddocks, feed run and keeping stables tidy and clean, but not limited to any of the above. There could be riding available for the right person who has a strong background riding performance horses.

It is of upmost importance that you are conscientious and pay attention to detail eg if a horse has any injury, wound or is unwell. We are able to sign off 2nd/3rd year visas. Package includes accommodation, food, wifi, share car, use of one of horses if you want to ride after work and a wage. We pay all living expenses eg electricity, water. No bond required. You will only have your personnel expenses eg phone etc We have excellent references from people that have worked for us. Accommodation is a large 3 bedroom apartment, can send you videos of living accommodation if needed. It is very important that you can fit in with the rest of our team and want to have fun. Ability to speak reasonable English and can follow instructions in English.
