Helpers Required On Pumpkin Island, Southern Great Barrier Reef

We're looking for a enthusiastic couple to assist with our accommodation on a small tropical island, located just off the coast of Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast. Pumpkin Island is a beautiful private island, just 30 minutes off shore via Keppel Bay Marina on our ferry, Pumpkin Xpress.

We have a mixture of 7 eco cottages/bungalows and sit at quite a high occupancy for regular turnarounds. The position is diverse, due to the changing nature of tourism and it's guests. Mostly cleaning and housekeeping duties with maintenance where qualifications permit and paid bar duties subject to experience, RSA’s and cleaning experience would be preferred. 3hrs a day is required for your board - this is more often than not done as 3 x 3hr days and 2 x 6hr days, 2 days off to enjoy the island.

Accommodation and linen is provided in clean self contained accommodation on the beach. After work you will be free to enjoy the snorkel gear, fishing and kayaks around the island. You will need to provide your own food and groceries, there is no restaurant on Pumpkin Island, only a licensed bar so groceries will need to be organised to be delivered to our ferry and can come over weekly.. Transport to and from the island will be arranged and provided from Keppel Bay Marina. The couple must want a relaxed island lifestyle as there is limited access to mainland. We have stunning fringing reef to explore and adjacent islands you can kayak to, weather dependent.

2 week trial is offered, a minimum 6 week commitment after that is preferred but not essential. Enjoy the ultimate Australian tropical island experience on Pumpkin Island.
