Chef/barista/cafe-allrounder

The Xtra Mile Café is looking for two (2) wonderful staff to fill roles in our quirky café. The two roles are:
• experienced and confident chef / cook; (Full Time Hours)
• experienced barista / cafe all-rounder.

For the chef/cook role, we are looking for someone that can work independently while being an integral part of the team. We have a strong focus on community and high quality, wholesome food with a healthy twist. Our approach to food is producing both nourishing and well-balanced all-day breakfast and lunch options. We value sustainability, limit wastage and prepare from scratch as much as possible. We cater for people with food allergies and have a large Plant Based/ Vegan following. We love what we and enjoy working with likeminded people.

For the barista / cafe all-rounder, you need excellent knowledge and experience in making coffee. . Experience in the use of POS, eftpos and cash handling is needed.

For both roles, you will have a strong work ethic, be reliable, a clear communicator, punctual, and a team player with a positive approach to customers and a bright personality.
Most importantly, we are looking for people that are open and have a friendly and positive attitude to their work and have excellent customer service. Our customers always come first.
