Kangaroo Island - Aquaculture Allrounder

Looking for an island experience? Wanting to work through the offpeak season down South? Our oyster farm is located just 30 minutes from each of the towns on Kangaroo Island and a great base to tour the island from. We run The Oyster Farm Shop serving Island Aquaculture and Sustainable seafood in a casual seaside setting from 11am to 3pm daily year round. We are not a restaurant or a cafe, but a farm shop serving ocean to plate with a very simple Harvest of the day menu accompanied by local wines/ciders/ale. We also run daily landbased farm tours at 10:30am teaching visitors how oysters are farmed in South australia. You would be providing daily tours, shucking oysters, serving customers, cooking lunches and hands on at the farm as required. If you want to come join our team and learn about the fastest growing food production industry in the world, aquaculture, then hop on the Sealink ferry and come on over! You will need your own transport and accommodation. RSA and Food handling is an advantage. There is a great campground within walking distance from our farm and other accommodation options may be available in the town. Our crew love to work hard and play hard!
