A family run beef cattle operation in outback NW Queensland is seeking another Stationhand to join our existing team for an initial period of 3 months, possibly longer. Negotiable start date between mid May to early June. We have been employing backpackers to help our family over many years and still keep in touch with many of our past employees.
Most of the work will involve mustering cattle on two wheel motorbikes (no horses), sometimes with helicopters, and working the cattle in the yards, as well as fencing and any other general station duties.
All food provided, private air conditioned accommodation on farm and Wi-Fi is included with a daily wage and we have Telstra mobile phone reception. This is Second/Third Year Visa eligible.
Please apply if you:
have fluent spoken English,
have a manual car drivers licence,
have some experience on two wheel motorbikes,
can demonstrate a work history either in Australia or overseas,
and are energetic, happy to work outdoors and willing to learn.
Own transport would be an advantage and non-smoker preferred.
Please reply with your experience in all these areas and I can forward a detailed job description to suitable applicants!
