Farm Hand-mother's Helper - 2/3 Year Visa - Southern Highlands Nsw

Hi there. We are a busy family looking for a farm hand for light duties including hand feeding horses, cattle, lambs and chickens. No true farm experience is required but common sense and an appreciation of animals is essential. You are provided with a car.

We have a cottage which attracts guests (please check out our website) so we need your help managing that, doing the change overs and welcoming guests. It’s a lovely part of the job. If you’re a clean freak and have hospitality experience, that would be great.

We are eligible to offer the 2nd/3rd/covid year visa and provide all the correct paperwork. We deduct board from the minimum wage, take out tax and provide holiday and superannuation pay. We have had about 18 travellers stay with us over the last few years.

You can welcome to speak to our current Farm Hand if you wish. Your accommodation is lovely. Photos attached. We offer a safe, respectful work environment. We know 88 rural days living with a family might not be your first choice of experience in Australia so we want to offer the best experience we can.

Your work hours are flexible. While animals don’t take weekends off, we know you need your downtime. You would start at 7.15am and do a few hours – feeding animals, cottage changeover, errands……take a break then again in the afternoon. Generally your day is finished by 6.30pm. We can discuss your weekend requirements in our interview.

Please be a good driver on the left hand side of the road. You will be given a driving test day one because this is an ESSENTIAL skill for the role.

We breed our own animals so it’s preferable that you are a meat eater and have a love of animals and family life.
