Hampers With Bite isn’t your average company, and this role isn’t your average Customer Service job.
We started up over 16 years ago as two brothers packing boxes in their living room, with their dad doing all of the deliveries. Now we’re a $20m+ company and in our peak week at Christmas time are sending out over 100,000 gifts.
As the company has been rapidly growing over the last 3 years, we’re looking to expand our Customer Service offering and are looking to hire someone who can be with us throughout the rest of the year and potentially beyond! This means that you would be expected to learn all about the Operations department’s processes and act as a Senior during our peak Christmas season, all whilst maintaining a high level of service for our customers.
We’re also a pretty fun place to work, with perks such as Uber Eats Fridays, target reward days, and lots of fun nights out (latest being a day out to a winery). We’re a young group and want to welcome someone new into the family!
Day to day tasks include:
Answering inbound phone calls and emails (covering pre-sale enquiries, knowledge of existing and planned ranges, tracking enquiries, complaints) for our brands
Liaising with warehouse departments to get an overview of our current stock and both our website and corporate orders
Contacting people regarding reviews, and dealing with complaints and escalations
Track orders using our internal systems and our courier’s systems, liaising with the courier management team when necessary
Adjusting products on our website
There will also be an overlap with the other teams within our Operations department: Accounts department (taking payments, processing refunds) and our Corporate Invoicing & Order Processing teams (learning the full workflow to help identify/resolve any issues)
Good on the phones, with a positive and upbeat attitude
Great verbal and written English skills
A quick learner, with the ability to think outside the box
Ideally have at least 2 years customer-facing experience
The role would be suited to a fresh graduate who wants to get stuck into the business world, or to someone who’s got a couple of years work experience and wants to learn more about eCommerce (which is the fastest growing sector in Australia over the last few years!).
We are based in Fitzroy, Melbourne, and this is an in-office role. It's initially a 6 month contract, but it's highly likely that this would develop into permanent for the right person.
