Welcome! If you’re looking for strawberry picking or packing work you can join us on Stanthorpe (QLD) farms soon!
Here is some information:
Picking and packing hours and days vary according to the stage of the crop, and the weather. The average picker or packer is earning $27 per hour.
Picking:
Currently starts at 6am. Outdoors in all weather Paid per kg Usually finishes around 2pm Trimming work is also done by the pickers, paid per metre.
Packing:
Some of the packers also pick, and then come to the shed at packing time.
Start and finish time varies according to fruit volumes, usually 10 am to 6:30pm

Paid per punnet
Packers in Stanthorpe can trim if they have a day off and would like to join the pickers for some extra hours.
During peak season on Stanthorpe farms (October - May) we work 6-7 days per week.
