Duration: 6 months (with potential to extend)
Wave Hospitality Group on Norfolk Island is seeking an experienced and passionate gardener/all-rounder to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to live and work in a truly unique, sub-tropical island environment — where your work directly contributes to creating memorable guest experiences.
About the Role:
You’ll be based primarily at Governor’s Lodge, a 12-acre resort surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. You will also assist at our other properties — Crest Apartments (12 self-contained units) and Christians of Bucks Point (a 3-bedroom holiday home).
Your duties include but are not limited to:
- Mowing
- Pruning
- Whipper snipping
- Edge trimming
- Leaf blowing
- General grounds maintenance
- Pool maintenance (checking pH levels, water levels)
- Pressure cleaning
- Experience with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening loose door handles, and minor repairs would be highly regarded, although not essential.
A manual driver’s licence is essential, as you may also assist with:
- Cleaning and delivering hire cars (through our car hire business, Crest Auto)
- Collecting and delivering freight for the hotel
- Assisting with waste management duties
About You
- Manual Driver’s licence
- Proven experience in a similar role highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent presentation and grooming standards
- A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude
- Creativity and initiative in problem-solving
- A high level of professionalism and pride in your work
- Valid work rights in Australia
