Wave Hospitality Group on Norfolk Island is seeking an experienced and passionate Housekeeper/Houseman to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to live and work in a truly unique, sub-tropical island environment — where your work directly contributes to creating memorable guest experiences.
About the Role:
You’ll be based primarily at Governor’s Lodge, a 12-acre resort surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. From time to time, you may also assist at our other properties — Crest Apartments (12 self-contained units) and Christians of Bucks Point (a 3-bedroom holiday home).
This role operates on a rotating 7-day roster aligned with operational requirements.
This role includes assisting with Waste Management, cleaning general hotel areas including the pool & spa, porterage plus cleaning & servicing our 55 cabins. Occasionally you may also be required to clean our sister property Crest Apartments (12 self-contained units) or Christians of Bucks Point (3 bedroom holiday home) Your week would be spread over a 7 day roster in line with each department’s requirements of an applicable week.
You may also be required to assist with Crest Auto Rentals, which involves cleaning and delivering hire cars.
About You
- Proven experience in a similar role highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent presentation and grooming standards
- A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude
- Creativity and initiative in problem-solving
- A high level of professionalism and pride in your work
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Commitment to a minimum 4-month stay
- Manual driver’s licence
