Job Description

At UKO we develop purposefully designed boutique accommodation spaces across Sydney that enable people to connect & network.

As an assistant Facilities Manager, your main objective is to assist the Facilities Manager with the maintenance and operations of building services for each asset in the portfolio. You will ensure that the standard of the UKO and Furnished Property portfolio is maintained and improved to ensure all properties meet minimum standards and maximise rental returns.

Main Responsibilities.

Help action daily maintenance requests from residents.
Help oversee preventative maintenance programs for all sites.
Help oversee repair and/or distribution of all furniture, fittings, and fixtures for all properties.
Meet with tradesmen and assist where required.
Ensure that the service the company provides, and the product, are of a quality standard and inspect and report on issues.
Record any purchases, deliveries, storage, and distributions.
Help ensure all scheduled maintenance is completed in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
Be mindful to modify and improve services provided by UKO and the Furnished Property portfolio to our clients.
Assist with cleaning and preparing vacated buildings and rooms, getting them ready for new occupants to move in.
Develop and maintain a good relationship with contractors, vendors, and site workers to get the best bargains on property repairs and suppliers.



About you. Qualifications, Knowledge, and skills.

General maintenance skills: The assistance facilities manager is required to have general mechanical skills to handle minor repairs and fixtures. You will need the right skills to know how things work and how to keep the place organised, as well as how to tackle maintenance tasks in a fast and easy manner

Knowledge of electricity: Knowing how electricity works will help to diagnose electrical problems and carry out minor repairs

Verbal and written communication skills: The property maintenance technician needs to have strong communications skills for effective delivery of information to clients, colleagues, and management.
