Job Description
The Iron Clad Hotel is looking for a cook for the season ahead (now until september).The Iron Clad Hotel is in Marble Bar (MB) near port hedland (2 hours drive) and Broome (6 hour drive).MB is a very small town (200 max) that can get very busy.We have accommadation and do lunch and evening meals for workers,houseguests, tourists and locals.The cook/chef works fifty-60 hours a week, cooking a basic pub menu.We have other positions to be filled so it would suit a couple.Accommadation and basic meals are provided.Renumeration is negotiable considering the current circumstances but we try and make the ICH a good place to work.MB and the surrounding region is very unique and definitely worth a visit.The weather will soon be perfect. The Iron Clad Hotel is a small outback pub in a very small outback town.We battle thru the summers which can be a bit hot until it rains, then it is still hot but the place turns into paradise.In winter time the weather is perfect so we get over-run with visitors.Not only tourists but a lot of work goes on around here.Not only mining, we have pastoralism (cattle stations) and a lot of aboriginal communities so there are heaps of people getting about between may - september.
