Cattle Station Bore Runner (water Maintenance Person) - Qld's Largest Cattle Station

An opportunity for an enthusiastic, physically fit, hands-on learner with good listening skills and an attention to detail to take on the important role of 'Bore Runner' at Springvale Station, 110km south east of Boulia in Western Queensland.

This role is for an active person who takes pride in their achievements.

Day Rate: $180 per day (gross) + 7 weeks annual leave (pro rata).
Work Days: Monday - Saturday (some 2 day weekends can be arranged when going to local events etc)

Roles and responsibilities:
- driving a manual vehicle checking water troughs, tank levels and dams to ensure cattle are provided good, clean drinking water at all times;
- performing repairs and maintenance on parts and equipment (these skills will be taught);
- other station duties as required by management (guidance given)

Essential Requirement:
- manual drivers licence

Springvale is the outstation to our larger station, Davenport Downs. Springvale has a crew of 5 people generally, with numbers fluctuating depending on mustering etc. In total, we have around 16 staff between the two properties.

Experience on a cattle station or other remote area or in a similar field will be highly regarded.

You must be fully vaccinated for Covid and be willing to have a Q Fever vaccination (or sign a waiver to say you don't wish to have the vaccination). More info will be provided after you apply for the position.
