MLKA Hospitality Recruitment specialises in remote, live in hospitality roles in remote, regional and outback areas Australia wide.

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager, located in Longreach in Outback Queensland.

Our staff highlight the customers experience with good old entertaining outback service.

We are looking for a restaurant manager to lead the team in 2022. It’s a busy restaurant with the opportunity to develop the offering further as we cater to a large audience in the tourist park and the local community.

You have an opportunity to become a part of the community which is a vibrant welcoming town with warm friendly locals.

It's a hive of activity in tourist season with visitors passing through from all over the world. There is plenty to do and see outside of work hours, take a cruise on the Thomson River, visit the Stockmans Hall of Fame, Qantas Founders Museum or relax watching the amazing sunrises and sunsets.

There are plenty of outlets in town for shopping and other great hotels & cafes to dine on days off. Working mostly evenings you will have plenty of down time to enjoy your surrounds.

Immediate Start

Package:

$60,000-$65,000
Accommodation Provided onsite

Minimum Commitment: Until November 2022


In this role you will have proven experience in leading a team and offering quality customer service in a busy restaurant environment to offer our guests a true outback dining experience.

You will foster a climate of cooperation and respect within the team while maintaining consistent superior guest focus at the forefront of all activities. You will also liaise with front of house staff to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of daily services.

Skills & Experience
Proven experience in front of house operations
Strong experience leading and mentoring a team
Ability to maintain cleanliness and attention to detail
Friendly and flexible disposition that provides high levels of guest service and encourages feedback
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Personal grooming standards suited to a guest focused business
Current open drivers license
Stock control inc. stock takes, procurement, receipt of goods and a thorough understanding and experience of computerised point of sale systems
Be involved with team planning and strategy meetings
