Housekeeper-Remote Queensland-Island Based
MLKA Hospitality Recruitment specialises in remote, live in hospitality roles in remote, regional and outback areas Australia wide.
Escape the daily grind of the city for the relaxed environment of a remote island role - accommodation packages are provided with all roles.
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper for this busy venue located on a remote Queensland island. Working with a small team of staff, you will enjoy a laid back island lifestyle where you can immerse yourself in the local community.
The island is an amazing mix of culture, history, and untouched natural beauty. Fantastic fishing and beautiful sunsets.
The venue offers accommodation, an onsite restaurant and bar, and conference facilities and caters to the local, tourist and corporate market.
Package:
$62,236.20 annual salary
Accommodation $130 per week + 5 Duty Meals Included
(One meal per each rostered day)
Own Room in shared staff house off site
Manual Driver's License required
Responsibilities:
Working solo most of the time (assistance will be available on busy days) cleaning and servicing of accommodation rooms
Doing deep cleans of rooms over the wet season (eg. 4 hours per room)
Cleaning of public areas once all deep cleans are completed
Ensuring all hotel guests are met in a courteous and friendly manner
Attending to guest requests
Cleaning of areas surrounding accommodation block
Laundry
Reporting of maintenance
Attention to detail
The ideal candidate will be someone with initiative that will take ownership over the position and “cares” about the quality of accommodation being provided. You will be happy training allrounders as they come through & understand that the staff assisting might change regularly. This role reports to the Accommodation Manager.
